6 years ago, the answer wuld have been no. But today....well, it's difficult to accomplish any kind of maintanence or upgrades without it (and of course, we would not be talking right now, would we?)

No way I have 4 computers and the ones not online are used the most. It all depends on why you got the computer in the first place. I burn and watch movies. I write resumes, play non online computer games. I really never fell into the hype. It is your lifestyle they leads to the need for online access.

Thanks, but I'm married. And a computer is still a computer with or without an internet connection. Internet is just a means of connecting with the world. And the computer is the means to connect to the internet.
