Wow. Lots of crazy assumptions about me so far. Jobless, irresponsible, etc. How can you possibly judge a man from such an innocent question. It was meant to be a humorous question.

They don't. Once a parent, always a parent. Now that you're an adult, you can "ignore" it, but someday you'll miss it.

Parents believe that it is their right to be your parents for the rest of their lives (and perhaps beyond, imagine being haunted by the ghost of your mother--Stephen King eat your heart out). The fact is that if it's not too annoying I'd just let it go. If it bothers you enough you're probably going to have to talk to her to get her to quit, and even then it may not work.

Unless you are living under your mother's roof and she is paying your bills, I suspect she will stop scolding you when you grow enough of a backbone to tell her that you are an adult and if you want or need her advice, you'll ask for it. Otherwise, you would appreciate it if she keeps opinions/criticisms to herself!

Your mother will never stop scolding you. I'm saying this as a mother of a two year old. As long as he has my love, which is forever, he will have me there to scold him. It will never stop, sweetie, sorry.

Till they put the lid on the coffin, very often. Most sons get round it somehow.
