even though we are a beat up team, we are still only 3 out of 1st. Somehow the idiots in Boston couldn't figure out a way to pull away from the team is so beat up. I think the "youth movement" is going to have a positive outcome.
Philip Hughes...my take is bring him up or trade him. He does us NO good sitting in Double A. They didn't think Cano was ready, they din't think Wanger was ready, they didn't think the Milkman was ready (he actually wasn't the 1st time) hell Boston didn't think Papelbon was ready, but I think this sport has shown us time and time again you never know what will happen until you piut them on the stage. If I had my choice between "the future" Philip Hughes or Chef Boy R D (because he serves em up) Chacon/Wilson/(Johnson every other start) let's go with the kid, either that or trade him for Dontrelle Willis or someone else that is solid.

Yankees haters
1) this question wasn't so your opinion is not wanted or needed.
2) as for the money statements your owner makes money off revenue sharing, the more money the yankees spend the more money your owner gets. example the Royals were paid 30 million last year in rev sharing, whats their payroll at??? Not much more thatn that, don't complain call your owner complain to them.

************Closing Note************
I apprecaite the feedback from the true Yankees fans, Red sox Nation I knew you would chime in even though this question had absolutely nothing to do with you. You always try defend yourselves as honorable fans, yetact like rabid dogs snapping at the Yankees any chance you get. Good Show, keep living up to your reputation as baseball's nastiest fans. (Don't worry Yankees fans are not far behind you) Any how the Marlboro man at the bottom of the page is partially correct on his irrelevant point that the Yankees have alot "Bandwagon fans", well my friend ALL WINNING teams have Bandwagon fans, where did all these White Sox fans come from???

Thanks again for the feedback, and enjoy the second half of the season.

The Yankees are a horrible team and their fans are horrible people. I can't wait to see the 180 million dollar payroll miss the playoffs. Go Red Sox and by the way nice comeback from down 5-0 by the Devil Rays over the Yankees yesterday.

The yankees NEED starting pitching. Besides Moose and the Wang-inator nobody seems to be able to hold it down. I think they should at least promote Hughes to triple A and see what he can do and maybe be avail for a mif August call up, just in time for the playoffs. Dontrelle Willis is available but I am not quite sure if the Marlins really want to trade him or if it is just talk. John Smoltz has been pretty frustrated out there in Atlanta so he MAYBE an option for a trade to a contender like the yanks and I think the Yankees could use another proven veteran for the playoffs. johnson needs to step it up

I would love to agree, however, i do believe Hughes should continue in the minors for a bit. I see your point, but Hughes (who got banged up a bit in the Futures game, against minor league batters) is not going to be ready until next year. And even in 2007 he won't start with the Yankees until we know he's ready, or we're desperate. He'll make a spot start in '07, he'll probably become a steady arm by '08. But the last thing we should do is trade him.

Your question reeks of Yankee arrogance. Who for a minute takes for granted that they or anyone else can trade for Dantrelle Willis? He is the future of the Florida team, and he will not be traded for Yankee has beens of which there are many. The Yankees are washed up. Only their fans haven't realized it yet.

Sincerely,

An idiot Boston Red Sox fan!!

Yankees suck. when will people quit using injuries as an excuse for not winning? you are 3 games out of first period, i don't want to hear about injuries. Boston has them too: Clement, Wells, Pena. the thinking that you should trade your prospects is what got the yankees to sucking like they do now.

It's good to see ARod coming around. The Yankees still have the best shortstop in the AL and when they have Sheffield back their outfield will be loads better.
