Don't wear the flip flops, there is a bare foot sandal that is called a down under, that does not have the v thong, it just consist of a sole, you wet the bottom of your foot, and it sticks there, down side is your feet get hot, with effort you could get use to the flip flops.

That is the worst!! They look so cute, simple and you can match any outfit w/ all the different colors of flip flops- but that little thing keeps me away from buying them.

I couldnt stand it either back in the day until i was pregnant and couldn't wear normal shoes so now i'm a flip flop whore!

My solution was to remove the thong. I then glued the flip flops to the soles of my feet.
Now I'm permanently rubberized.

I used to hate them also. I've gone accustom to them though because of living in Florida. I don't like the slide on ones much either though.
