I wear this really tight sports bra inside my clothes everyday, I'm just wondering if they will make my breasts smaller, or bigger. My mom said that I shouldn't wear a bra everyday like this, but she never said why. This question is concerning health and I'm not that type of people on Yahoo! Answers asking perverted and ruthless question, so please be respectful and answer this question in a polite manner like how I am asking right now. Thank you.

I think that clothing can make an impact on the mold of your skin if persistent for an extended period, but not the size. Something like a sports bra simply isn't restrictive enough to prevent all the tissue in that area from growing. The fabric might be tight, but it still has some give.

If you were to encase yourself in say, iron, you might have problems. If it hurts, then it probably isn't good for you. I would look for something that supports (depending on your size) and is comfortable. If you have special circumstances then ask your doctor - that is where the best advice is.

I do not think wearing a bra will either inhibit growth or promote further growth than what you are destined to have. I think that more than anything it may just not be comfortable, and also puts pressure on your shoulders that shouldn't be there 24/7. Also, you should wear a bra that offers support....sports bras are designed to hold them close to the body to prevent injury, for limited periods of time. By not supporting them, they may be more prone to take nature's course earlier!

i have seen on discovery health that wearing a tight bra can be linked to breast cancer. I don't mean to scare you with this but it is true that some professionals think a tight bra can encourage it. i doubt it will make them either bigger or smaller

I don't see how wearing a bra is bad for you. If your 12/13 maybe your mom doesn't want you wearing it cause she is sad to see you growing up. But to be on the safe side, buy a bra that's a size up seeing that this one may be to small.

Well hunn yes wearing a tight bra eveyday will make your bust small and they won't be as round, but to prevent sagging all you really need to do is wear a nice fitting, but loose bra. If you are 12,13,14 this is what you do. Dont worry, ur bust will expand.

i dont think theres a problem with wearing a sports bra. i only recently switched to real bras. if your not really big yet tho its not too much of a problem. i dont think that wearing one will change the size of your chest.

I would really ask your doctor.

If anything, "binding" your breasts could possibly make them smaller. It is actually a practice in Africa for people to bind the breasts of a young woman in order to make them smaller. This was done to prevent sex appeal.

It will not affect the size of your breasts but it DOES increase your risk of breast cancer.

Wearing something too tight depending on your age could cause you not to develop properly.
