will make America safer. I think it is funny that so many people just agree with this theory that has never been proven to work. Just because a couple of people tell you that democracy will bring more peace to that region you go along with but when people tell you about global warming they are crazy. Isn’t safe to say that we don’t know what will happen in that unstable region of the world instead of spiting out talking points from both party.

Hunter it is not bad when a country stands up aginist is opressor and fights for its freedom, and then wants to be a democratic state.That is not what happend here. The people of Iraq did not stand up a take back there country we did, and force them to become a democracy. If the whole country wanted this there would be no insurgency.

Leo Girl I agree with you in therory; however what other middle eastern country can you use as an example to your statement. I belive that if the people of Iraq had revolted agianst Saddam and took back their country and made it democratic they would indeed be headed in the right direction. That is not what happend here and you are dealing with trible people of extrem religious views that do not agree with democtated rule. I dont have to make my point the war will speak for its self. All you have to do is watch and see.

Just because a couple people?? ohhhh you must watch CNN.....Have you ever sat back and looked at issues logically?
By bringing about a democratic governemnt in Iraq, people will be happier, they will grow as a nation, they will work, raise their family's, go to school, worship where they wish, take vacations, etc..etc... They will be allowed to be normal people. This was not the life they were enjoying previously. Nobody anywhere has said they have to be modeled like the US, and they aren't! They voted on a constitution that they wrote and believe would work for them. Is it perfect? No, but are they working on it? yes. Use some logic. They've made remarkable progress in 4 yrs. Global warming: Maybe I haven't seen those that disagree, but from what I have seen most agree that YES we are experiencing global warning. However, the differences are in what is causing it. It is a cyclic weather pattern, or factories cars etc. There is more conclusive evidence that its a weather pattern we are in. We can always work towards bettering our environment, but there needs to be a balance with costs and a gradual change. I just bought a car as I'm sure millions of people have. Should I scrap it, take the financial bloodbath, and buy something else. Not right now I won't.
To answer your question, logically it should work in Iraq and many people are working towards the success. The Iraqi people are greatful we are there. Global warming, I agee its there, but give me credible evidence that a solution is even availble, and if they can't agree on the cause, how can they agree on the cure?

It's not certain that we will win in Iraq.
Winning in Iraq means they get prosperity, and stable self government. How could that be bad?
