I'm sorry to report that your question is incoherent. And, unnecessary.

Time, on this planet, is a simple social and cultural construct, so it is of ephemeral value. It's gone before you know it! Good for saying things like "time is money", or estimating distance when speed of object is known, keeping the workers in check, and for wasting. So, it does have a local purpose.

But, unfortunately, it looks like, from an Absolute perspective -- that is to say, cosmological -- Time with a big T just doesn't exist. Or, it appears so.

Why don't you read up on time at Stephen Hawking's website or some of the many that discuss the illusion of time?

Then, you could carry on with your life knowing that money is money, time is time, and never the two shall meet. ;)

I know this! Only if you have money invested in the stock market or an idea or business that you are creating or inventing while not clocked into a time clock system for "actual" work that chains you to a place or office, can you say that time is money.

So, if you have no money invested that could be growing over time or if you have no great deals forming in your mind to make gazillions then the term does not apply to you.

Example of how not to use the expression: My husband won't return merchandise for refunds. he says "time is money" I say If I make the time to take back the crap we don't need then I get a credit on my charge card thus undoing a foolish purchase. ha

have fun!!

It actually has changed from its origin. The explanation I found was : "While this familiar maxim may seem like an invention of our hectic and impersonal modern society, it actually comes to us from the ancient Greeks. Antiphon, an orator who wrote speeches for defendants in court cases, recorded the earliest known version of the saying in 'Maxim' (c. 430 BC) as 'The most costly outlay is time.' Centuries later, the notion of time's value appeared in English as 'Tyme is precious,' which was included in Sir Thomas Wilson's 'A Discourse Upon Vsurye' (1572) and John Fletcher's 'The Chances' (1647). A century after Fletcher, Benjamin Franklin rendered the exact working of the current version in 'Advice to a Young Tradesman' (1748), and the saying afterward came into wide use."

You can't expect something to come of the time you have by simply having it, you actually have to put your time to good use to attain your goal of having money. Go to school, or get a job, but unless you want to live check to check you should definetly go to school and try and learn something that interest you, something that you will enjoy doing as well as recieving the benifits of your hard work.

Time IS Money, that is it has the monetary value of your productivity for a certain period. If someone is wasting your time keeping you from being productive, then they have cost you money. However, if your productivity is not valued in monetary terms (such as asking and answering questions in this forum), then you will be broke.

Happy productivity.

Obviously you never took economics 101. You have an endless supply of time, and therefore your demand for money is nil. Once you learn to have a supply of money your demand for time will lessen.

All that great work ultimately leads to riches.
