A Walk to Remember ...?
Even if that's not what you're looking for, it's still a good book.

Romeo and Juliet seems to come to mind but that ended in a tragedy. But the one you're describing is slightly different. I'm guessing Rumblefish because that's the other "love" story I read in my freshman year of high school.

It does sound like Love Story. Wouldn`t be Romeo and Juliet, they both died at about the same time, so there was no one left to go on.

I think it was Love Story. The song "Sunshine on my Shoulders," by John Denver comes to mind in the movie version. You must be my age!

There's a movie called "Love Story" that follows those lines... If you research that you should find the book too... Good luck!
