Same for me. Medical research says if you take anything longer than a cat nap then you feel tired the rest of the day.

Naps need to last 30 minutes or 3 hours to feel revived. Short nap is 30 minutes so the body and mind take a break without falling into deep sleep. Long nap is 3 hours because after 30 minutes you do go into deep sleep. The body and brain need 3 hours to get deep and back out again. Each body is different - so try to work with your sleep cycles.

Someone told me that power naps are the best way to revive without feeling that hazy feeling afterward. About 10 minutes. I try not to take naps, because no matter how tired I am, i get that feeling, even if i just lay down for a few minutes.

If I want a power nap I usually try to acually sleep for 15-30 minutes. I was a wrestler, and commonly did this between matches at long tournaments.

Actually a 20-30 minute nap sounds really really good right about now. I think I might just go take one.

If I'm really tired or not feeling well (pregnant) I can't sleep for more than 30 minutes. Otherwise I just feel groggy and terrible. About 15-20 is usually perfect for me, I wake up easily and have no residual sleepyness.

I have heard that the less the better-- maybe 15 to 20 is good. too long makes you feel groggy and will keep you up at night.
however, some people like me can sleep anytime for as long as they want and never feel rested

5 hours. That's why I usually don't take naps.

90 minutes feels right. More than that, and i'll feel groggy but then won't be able to sleep at night.
Each person will find their own amount.
