I guess he was afraid, that the Italian goalkeeper might know him and his shooting habits too well and tried to perform extra-precisely. This is as both, Buffon and Trezeguet (at least until Wednesday :-)) are teammates at Juventus Torino and have had quite a number of practice sessions together.

Trezeguet missed because he was under enormous pressure and the team felt the disappearance of Zinedine Zidane. But it seems that Trezeguet felt it the most, trying to pull off a similar shot like Zizou's min.7 penalty kick, but missed. I saw before the shot that Trezeguet seemed just about ready to burst into tears.

Don't be so hard with Trezeguet would you.
To strikex2, it's 5-3 because the Italians started shooting first with Pirlo (he's so old school!) and the French did not need to shoot their last one because the Italians already had shot 5 good ones so the French would not be able to catch up with them.

Dude, what do you advise, 'what style of participant misses penalty'? each style of participant can omit a penalty. imagine about it, Japan made it so a techniques, and that is life or lack of life for you and your crew, relies upon on wheter you score or not. all the attempt put in 120 minutes beforehand to maintain a draw can grow to be meaningless in case you do not score. that is like an superb stake to play for, so adult males fall down lower than the rigidity. i will by no skill overlook Beckham's reaction even as he shot over the submit bar in a penalty kickoff once, he became his head in disgust and stared down for a second. So somewhat, all of us can omit it. i replaced right into slightly suprised not one of the gamers did they previous 'let em dive' inspite of the actuality that lol that is the finest, in basic terms wait till eventually the goalkeeper dives left or excellent and then shoot any opposite direction. PLUS Japan replaced into capturing second so the rigidity of proper reaction replaced into on them too. i love penalty kickoffs :D

he and italy's buffon both plays onteh same club team. so i'm guessing he suspected that buffon know where he would kick the ball. so he changed his mind at the last second causing him to make teh mistake. btw, since he was the only one who missed it, the score should be 5-4 shouldn't it? why was it recorded as 5-3?
