June through November. Honestly, I live on the gulf coast and just had Rita hit us dead on. Don't worry about it. Most of the gulf storms happen from the middle of August till the middle of October. We were just there in June when the tropical storm blew threw. You really aren't in that much danger of one hitting and if you have it all planned and it does head that way, Disney and your airline will help you change your reservations at no extra cost. Plus, Disney is a safe place. It is far enough away from the coast and the buildings are strong. Visitors have weathered hurricanes there before and have stayed safe. Disney usually goes out of their way to make the stay fun at the hotel. Plus, the bad weather will only be for a day and you could get lucky and have it come through at night.

It started in June..the peak starts about 3rd week in August till about the 2nd week in October....official end is at the end of November.

Aug through Oct is probably the worst but you can get an early one in June and a late one well into November.
