The tarp was on for about a month while project was finished. Adhesive has left black marks on grey carpeting. Nothing seems to take them out. HELP

Make him buy you new carpet. Or make him go to the store and ask the salespeople will get the marks out.

Go to your yellowpages or business white pages. Look up Chem Dry carpet cleaning. They are amazing and can get up almost everything including wine and blood out of carpet. It's the largest carpet cleaning company in the world! Two thumbs up and 5 stars!

Actually, if you can get ahold of a carpet shaver, you should be able to shave of the residue. Any good carpet repair guy will know what one is.

? maybe lighter fluid and/or nail polish remover? you need to dissolve the glue from the tape.
scrub on it with these fluids lightly on a test-area FIRST.

try wd 40, greased lightning, or goo gone.
maybe those will help.
