No, it was not a hoax.
There is money to be made in telling stupid people that it was a hoax, but it most certainly was not.
The idea that it was a hoax got a lot of momentum with the movie "Capricorn 1". And the Fox special a few years ago added fuel to the fire. However, the Fox special was a load of garbage. Want the truth?

All the BS that the hoaxers spit up is taken apart and shredded here.
Want to convince yourself? get a laser. Find out the lunar coordinates of the MIRROR we left on the moon's surface, get a device to detect the returning laser light, and shine your laser at the moon. Laser light will not reflect off of rock and dust.
Educate yourself, and then please, please, educate others.

Although my wife's father performed fuel calculations for the original Apollo landing, I'll spare you that speech. Instead, I will encourage you to watch two programs. The first show is called Conspiracy Moon Landing that it currently showing on the National Geographic Channel and it pretty much obliterates all of the popular conspiracy theories.
I would also encourage you to watch a movie called Capricorn One. Made it 1978, it is a fictional story about a fake mission to Mars. Although it is a science fiction story, it is a good example of how utterly impossible it would be to fake a moon landing for any length of time.
12 men walked on the moon from 1969 to 1972 and we have neither the resources nor the technology to pull off that big of a hoax for so long. Hundreds of thousands of people have worked on the space program. It would be far easier to put someone on the moon than to try and fake it and keep it secret for nearly 40 years.
The landings came at a time when our space program was ultra competitive with the former Soviet Union. Remember how big of a deal it was when Sputnik was put into orbit? They had the technology to monitor our moon shots and transmissions. Don't you think they would have called us out if they had evidence that it was all fake?
Perhaps the most definitive proof of our trip to the moon is what we left behind. For the last 35+ years, scientists have been beaming lasers to the moon and measuring the return times. How are they doing this? The beams are reflected back by equipment left on the moon on at 3 different locations.
Case closed.

Yes, Yes, Yes, it was a big conspiricy to fool Russia into thinking we were more Technologically advanced then they were during the cold war missle crisis.
Think about it...we supposedly sent numerous missions and astronauts to the moon....we even sent a dune buggy up there.
But here we are 40 years later and we can't even keep a space shuttle in low earth orbit without killing everybody on board.
Apollo 11 blasted off with astronauts on board but it didn't go to the moon.....it orbited the earth for 8 days and then splashed into the ocean.
The plan worked good though, it kept us out of world war 3.
As far as these so called mirrors that were left on the surface...don't believe it. We can achieve the same results using high tech radar without any mirrors.
Why doesn't some one realign the hubble to see the flag we left up there?

Had it been, the "Hoax" would have fallen apart long long ago. Too many people would have had to be in on it for it to have been, plus the technology that existed at the time was not good enough to pull it off. Look at any movie with scifi effects that was created at or around that time period. The effect shots are easy to spot and those were the best that could be done. No it just could not have been faked with the technology that existed then. Only in the last few years has technology been improved enough to be able to fake something like that.

It might well have been a hoaxe, the pictures that were supposedly taken on the moon is not consistent with the prevalent light conditions. It is clear from the shadows that it was taken in a warehouse or hall with artificial lighting.

Get over the conspiracy.......we landed, and that's that.
Ever wonder what we have on the back side of the moon,
I think we have something to hide...like Area 51 on the moon.

it happened. there's video of it and as far as I know no criticisms of it. However, I've always wondered why the flag was waving. In short, I'm sure it happened anyway.
