Yes, of course. That is sort of the purpose of asking an open ended Q. If you are pushing your own agenda, you are not asking an open ended Q.

If it is a sales presentation, NEVER ask an open ended question. In fact never ask a question you don't already know the answer to. Now that is pushing your agenda.

In the real pursuit of knowledge, the only questions to ask are open ended.

I think everyone is going to have a bias about what kind of answer they're hoping for. However it is possible to keep that in check and not be pushy, to be respectful of different opinions.
