Putting Elizabeth with Jack may ruin the life of POTC, but with all the twists seen in POTC II, the possibilities are endless. Please note that the question above suggests a HYPOTHETICAL situation!! How would Will recover if such a romance (or to some, betrayal) could arise?

i think that was an interesting little twist putting elizabeth with jack. after jack got eaten by the kracken, elizabeth looked genuinely sad. although i am a little confused about when elizabeth had the compass + it kept pointing to jack. does that mean she wants him or what? if elizabeth were wilth jack i dont think it would work out because he's a pirate + unless she went with him everywhere, they wouldn't always be together, unlike her + will. but i do think elizabeth and will were meant to be together + it will work out in the next movie. however if will doesn't get the girl i am so there for him lol

I think Jack and Elizabeth make a perfect couple!! I will definately like to see them together in the 3rd movie again. She n Will are just not meant to be. She likes to be where all the action is and Will always wants to protect her n keep her away frm any fighting. But she is a fighter and Jack understands tht best. He knows he cant hold her back and that she is really strong. I think they would be brilliant as a team....Will is just too much of a goodie two shoes! I think she shud have a man like Jack who is adventurous and free. And of course, Johnny is much hotter than Bloom! ;-)

They have no chance. Liz would like the life of risk and danger for awhile, but would eventually want to settle down like a "proper woman" of the time. She's too prissy to want the pirate's life forever. Also, I don't think Jack could be harnassed to her like she'd expect. He wouldn't always be there to rescue her and would certainly not think twice about cheating on her. Will would be heartbroken for a very long time I think. He'd also go after Jack to try and kill him due to his already apparant temper (I mean this in a highly loving way of course).

At the end Will looks over at Elizabeth and then decides to look for Jack. He figures that he has already lost her to Jack. He loves her so much that he is willing to look for Jack to make her happy. But, Jack is not the one for her. You don't know what you've got till it's gone. Elizabeth and Will will realize that in the end.

There is no chance, there were some strange things with POTC2 that involved Elizabeth and Jack but she will end up with Will at POTC3 for sure.

i imagine she loves the perception of Jack, yet no longer the 'actual element'. She grew up possible idolizing pirates and their existence sort so Jack is the epitome of that. regardless of the indisputable fact that, i imagine (extremely when they were given stranded on the island contained in the first movie) the truth of what a pirate is became nowhere close to her fantasy and for this reason, Jack is extra perfect for her in fantasy then truth.
