Mike Williams is being phased out of the offense in Detroit. Currently, he is on the third string unit, which is one step closer to being booted from the team. His work ethic has come under fire, and his attitude has not impressed any of the coaching staff. Avoid picking him up at this point.
If you want a WR in Detroit and Roy Williams is unavailable, check out the team roster and see if there is anyone else who you expect to break out. Corey Bradford had a strong outing in Houston and Charles Rogers will look to prove that he is worth the money they paid him.

Let's not get too excited about the Detroit receivers beyond Roy Williams. From the Martz interviews, we first heard that all the receivers have bad work ethics. Now, we're hearing that Roy Williams, Bradford, and Eddie Drummond (Whatchu talking about?) are looking sharp. Sounds to me like there are too many options to have confidence in making a pick. I agree with everyone above me that says "take them in the last round". Heck, I might even wait until week 3 (at home against Green Bay) and pick up Bradford or Drummond off waivers.

Roy Williams is more likely to be the stud of that receiving core. If I were you, maybe take a flier on Mike Williams or Charlie Rogers in the last round.

Mike Williams might not make it out of training camp, he is in the doghouse, and behind Roy Williams (who could be great this year - one of only 6 WRs with 8 or more TDs in each of the last 2 years), Scottie Vines (seriously) and Charles Rogers...

No...even with his dropping weight...he's in the doghouse for being late to meetings and doesn't seem like a good fit with Martz.

i know he grew to become into on an NFL roster in camp-i do no longer undergo in innovations which one-and he grew to become into released on the tip of the preseason. i'm advantageous he's a unfastened agent now, nonetheless. EDIT: thank you, Joshua, that grew to become into it-the Titans!!
