It was not very smart (i think it affected the morale of the team..even tho it was almost the end) but most likely asked for. Look at his career ! It's not his first cup, not his first final . He is a legend and will not be remembered just for that.
As for Italy winning...yea, they won, they got lucky, and luck is part of the game. People will remember the genius and technically superiority of the French team, not the lucky italiens and it's racist comments to zizou.

there was only one good part of it. the fact that zidane will always be remembered for the baby he is, and how he stupidly attacked a player in his final match. i respected zidane until that incident, now i dont see how anyone could respect him.

it was the best of the world cup,a head butt like that could of broken his chest bone,but whatever he said to zidane he must of deserved it .france may of lost the cup,but they won the battle,
