I don't know what the world record is, but this hot boy scout sat next to me on an airplane a few years ago and could do a rubik's cube in less than 5 mins. He would have me mix the colors up for him.

The official thing to say here is put down the rubik's cube, turn off the X-Box, get a girlfriend, go outside and see the light and stop asking moronic questions like this one

5 minutes? Not even close. I have a couple friends who could do it in under a minute. Believe the record was around 20 seconds, but that was how many years ago when the cube first appeared. I'm slow and I can get under 2 minutes.
