this means a lot more to me than actually coming from England. Liverpool because of the Beatles is such a greater place, and although they are not my favourite being on cavern walks sometimes just makes you feel like you are a part of the Beatles era. And years on The Beatles are still talk of the City, you think Liverpool, you think the Beatles and i think its a great thing the Beatles where from Liverpool, it means a lot to me and a lot of ppl here. You might think this is weird but oh well I'll get over it

Its not weird to feel proud of where one comes from. You're very fortunate to live in Liverpool - exciting - where the '4 Lads' originated...fantastic history...plan to go to your fair city next time I'm in UK (next year)

A 'few' from my city - Toronto, Canada:

Bare Naked Ladies
Bryan Adams (b. Kingston-200 km away)
Blue Rodeo
Cowboy Junkies
Dan Hill
Glenn Gould
Irish Rovers
Jeff Healey Band
Moe Koffman
The Moffats
Neil Young
The Nylons
Our Lady Peace
Platinum Blonde
Robbie Robertson
RUSH
Snow
Tragically Hip
Zol Yanovsky of Lovin' Spoonful
(went to same high school, years ahead of me...)

...and just so I can brag {more} (and not to do with music)...Mike Myers grew up 5 minutes away from where I live...

Well, I'm from Las Vegas and even though they are not as big as the Beatles, Panic! At The Disco and The Killers are from here. There are most likely more artists from here but I can't think of anymore off the top of my head.

I live near Central City, KY, home of the Everly Brothers. They haven't been popular for years, but they sang "Wake Up, Little Suzy" and a lot of other songs I don't care much for.
