You don't need to worry about the mites on your snake. Snakes shed their skin and the mites are shed along with it. However, it is a natural occurrence for snakes, in their natural environment, to have mites and ticks. homepage.ntlworld.com/elaine.deakin1/mites.pdf

The best way is to have him treated at the vet. Once the treatment is done, it is very important that you clean out the cage very thouroughly. Change the bedding and clean all bowls and rocks, branches very well. Soaking them in boiling water for a while is a good way to kill all these little parasites. tyr to keep the bottom of the tank dry and clean. It is important no to use a soil base in your terrarium, it can contain small parasites that can affect your snake. Using that green carpet is good. I hope that helps, Good Luck!

You can use paraffin/ kerosene, it kills the mite and eggs, only if the snake cannot be killed by paraffin
