Me and my dad want to take up fishing and we have a rod and all that stuff but we want to get the legal stuff done. Please help. I am under 16 and I heard there is a regulation for that or something like that.

go to the sporting goods store. they sell licenses there. your dad needs to buy one. depending on the state you can fish without a license under a certain age. it might be 16 in california. you have to renew it every year. game wardens will come and check on it so you have to have it with you at all times when fishing (your dad does).

Sporting goods shops are a good place to check. State or local police, maybe. DNR (Dept of Natural Resources) might be best.

one word, wal mart sell them you can get just for one day if you want to, or you can do a whole year its up to you. as for being a certain ago ive never heard of that before. good luck
