Do this art 'on the side' and get a knack for the professional aspect of being a freelance artist.

Create a portfolio of your work both online and as hard copies on paper.

Practice constantly - it will add to your skills and your portfolio.

Don't quit your day job until there is so much freelance work waiting for you that it's impacting the time you have for a regular job.

If you get a regular freelance gig, make it your priority and work with the Editor as professionally as possible. The Editor is the boss who is paying you.

Practice, practice, practice....

Good Luck!

I think you should try to do everything you can now. If you wait you may become bored, etc. Plus if you start now and make a killing just think you could be so popular as to get your art in a museum. Good luck to you!

I wouldn't quit your day job until the monthly income is enough to keep you paying the bills. In the meantime, keep up the good work!

There is nothing wrong with trying to do anything, Just as long as you have a good feeling about it.
