i have gone through all the personal info settings , and no where in there do i display my real name, ... when i chat online, it displays my nick name, but when i chat with my messenger it displays my full name , please some one how can i stop this from happening?

On Messenger list, at the top, select "Messenger" then "Preferences" then "Appearance" -- and near the bottom where it asks "For each contact on the messenger list show their:" -- select "nickname or first and last name" - although you may have to play with this depending on how you originally signed up for messenger.

send an IM to your self
on the chat windows go to Actions menu
then contact options>Contact Details
and remove your real name there.

What that man said go to actions and contact details and change it and send it to yourself cuz I hated that 2 i just changed mine.

Try to get a new username and put another name to replace your real name.

mine does the same thing. i can't stand it. I'm still tryna figure out how 2 fix it.
