In the miami/south beach area that have first floor rooms, or no elevators within the hotel? I am traveling with someone who does not go in elevators...Any help would be great!

First things first. Please understand that Hotels as a rule, if they do have first-floor rooms, there is no guarantee that they're available at any given time(I am Owner of a Travel Agency). That doesn't mean theres none out there, just the likelihood of any being available. Some other considerations to ponder:
1-Travel budget?
2-Dates of checkin/checkout. Believe it or not and because of the elevator issue it may make a difference.
Minor details for certain but important in that it helps make hotel searching much easier. Very easy -- Tell the hotel that you have a MEDICAL Condition and that you must be on the 1st floor -- that'll work however you might need to back it up.
