No, in a word.
You are not bad parents. In fact, I'm sure ur son will more than appreciate parents who have taken time to themselves to strengthen their relationship.
What makes the difference is where your son was during your weekend together. If he is cared for by his grandparents and they enjoy looking after him then you could look at it as letting them spend quality time with each other and stregnthening that relationship. As long as the childcare for your son is good while you are away, and is not detrimental to him then it i good for his parents to remain in a good relationship.

Heck no!!
By having a little 'down time' with one another, it helps to strengthen the bond of love between the two od you, and that will reflect back into your relationship with your son.
Enjoy~*

No, I think its fantastic you & your husband were able to get some time alone together. I'm a mom of three, and my hubby & I don't get enough time alone! So savor your adult time... use it to relax, recharge & bond with each other.
I'm not sure how old your son is, but if he's past the toddler years he probably enjoys his independent time also.

Not at all as long as you don't do it every weekend. Once in a while parents need to break for themselves there is nothing wrong with it.

No this teaches independence. I am 17 and encourage my parents to go away every weekend so long as they leave me money and food.

parents need to break away from being around kids as long as someone is taking care of your kid and you don't do this often maybe once every 6 months and you love and care for him when you come back, you're fine.

Is your spouse the father? If yes, you're only bad coz you're saying "my son" instead of saying "our son"...
If not, nothing wrong at all ! ! !

No, nothing wrong with it but I would include him in the next trip. Just don't make a habit of excluding him.
