That ALWAYS depends on your personality and your ...partner's personality. There isn't some set formula with romance success but you could try visiting the person on a vacation and getting to know them in person after you chatted online?

An Internet romance does not need to be with someone far away. I met my wife on the Internet. She lived 15 miles from me. We chatted and then decided to meet. An Internet relationship with some one very far away has all of the same pitfalls of any long distance relationship. Additionally, most long distance relationships are with someone you met and knew that moved away (or you moved away from). If you never met the person, how do you know for sure they are really who they say they are?
