Biotic - life factors (organismal based)
Abiotic - environmental factors (climate, geography, etc.)

Use this little intro to see how these factors shape competitive structures in different environments.

This is clearly a homework question. Read the chapter called "Ecology and Environment" from your textbook. That should clear things up.
