file for unemployment....

2006-07-10 07:04:17 · answer #1 · answered by Anonymous · 0 0

Find another job. NOW. No time to feel sorry for yourself. Channel those emotions into positive directions or you will have a REAL reason to feel sorry for yourself.

Mom was right when she told you to turn lemons into lemonade. Treat this as an opportunity instead of an obstacle and you'll look back on this day as the beginning of the rest of your life.

And while you're at it, contact your state's Department of Labor and see if you qualify for Unemployment Insurance. That's what it's there for. It's not enough to make your payments, but it sure will help.

Get a new job. Apply with a temp agency to get some immediate income. Many places hire temp-to-perm. Tell the agency that's what you're looking for.

If you don't have enough money to make it for a few weeks until the checks start rolling in again, talk to your landlord and see if he'll accept partial rent payment until you can pay him in full. If you've been a good tenant, he may agree.

And, plan for your future. If money is that tight, budget yourself better. Put some money in your savings every week, and don't buy things on credit. If you can't afford your car, trade it in for a cheaper one.

Apply for unemployment and start looking for a new job.

Then I'd look at my budget and make sure I don't spend any money that I don't have to in the short run.

Then, if necessary, I speak to my landlord and finance company about setting up special payment plans until I get another job. It is always better to work with people up front and honest than to try to avoid them.

Call the car company, they may let you skip a payment because of the situation. Some credit card companires may let you defer a payment as well. Cancle all the extras: cable, facials, going to the bar and out for nice meals.

Good Luck finding a new one!!!

The first thing that I would do is to contact both the landlord and car dealership to let them know of your situation, maybe they could help you with a payment plan or other alternatives. It may be somewhat uncomfortable telling people of your circumstances but my mother always said that no one can help you if they don't know that you're in need of help. Good Luck

First contact the people you owe, some companies will allow you to file extensions(just paying the interest) on loans. The worst thing to do is avoid creditors. If you let them know you are having a difficult time they are more apt to work with you.

Look for another job. If you can't find one right away, then call the landlord and the bank to tell them what happened, but here are the places you are close to getting a job at and they might cut you a little slack.

First thing? Pay one payment on each while you still have the money..then immediately find another place of employment. And remember, pride doesn't pay the bills so you might have to *settle* at first for a not so ideal position.

Good luck!!!

If you cannot get work right away, you need to file for unemployment. However, note that unemployment will not be nearly as much as your salary, so finding work quickly is important, but it will tie you over.

either look for another job immediatly or if the payment s are do there is nothing wrong with applying for public assistance temporarily that is what it is there for. you should always keep 2 months salary saved up for problems like these. i am sure that if your family can help you they will talk to them for temporary help,
