More specifically, advances in today's medicine and technology make it so that modern humans do not have to rely on natural selection to survive.

People who are prone to disease will not die because of advances in medicine; instead of thinning the herd and having only the strong survive, humans with an evolutionary weaknesses to disease are allowed to pass on thier genes

Similairly, those not fit to survive physically are now protected by technology. the weak and disabled are surviving and able to pass on their DNA as well, allowing flaws to come though and survive time.

Sure we are getting smarter and are able to tackle new problems, but are we weakening the human race to a point of no return if our link to technology was somehow severed?

Technology is a malediction and well as a benediction, we are sure getting smarter but getting weaker within us . How many of us still has that potentiality and stamina like that of our stoneage ancestors used to have , no doubt not even 10% of it. No doubt how modernised we are , we still have the stricken riddled orthodox mind, which is the root cause of all our sicknesses. for a calcutor very imp in our lives but can i ask you my frnd how many of us can do a simple addition perfectly without a calculator, are we exercising our brain in the right way, we exercise them only in technology and other exercises but how much do we really concentrare on simple overlooked stuffs.
We can only debate about this topic and it will remain as it is coz nowadays humanmind is a devils workshop, we are just digging our own grave deeper and deeper. youth of this generation is just submerged under tech...
hope i gave you a good ans but yet i feel it still remains unanswered

You are correct in that technology has allowed those who would not survive in a primitive world to live longer lives. However, in any population that undergoes a sudden catastrophe, there are almost always some survivors who are able to adapt and so pass on their genes to the next generation. Humans are no different in this respect. If our technology was suddenly rendered useless and all knowledge of how to use technology was gone, many people would die but many others would survive by reverting back to our days as hunters and gatherers.

You answered your own question, technology allows humans to make the "weak" strong. Even if our connection to technology is severed (which is highly improbable) there would still be a crop of humans able to survive. All that would happen is a regression back to the beginning of human evolution, and the cycle would start over again. "Flaws" are merely an opportunity for improvement.

You can already see this when people who have hereditary diseases that make them very weak and are able to reproduce. But without technology the human race wouldn't have survived in the first place. We have much weaker bodies, even the cavemen, but much more developed intelects. We are a creature that survives on technology

captivating, isn't it? purely no longer very possibly, in my opinion. very own recommendations are purely that, very own, and what's seen "attractive" adjustments from technology to technology. by employing in the present day's standards, Marilyn Monroe at 126 lbs, and very curvy, is seen "too fat" by employing in the present day's recommendations. And it sort of feels that the liberal perspective that one and all life and philosophies are equivalent, will disappear whilst there are 2 instructions--despite got here approximately to "we are all one race, the HUMAN race!" The conflict for human and equivalent rights would be tossed into the rubbish heap? isn't springing up a servant classification a step backward? and how approximately those robots we've been promised? And why might desire to there be a worker classification whilst there will be machines, computers, and robots to do the menial and repetitive artwork? shouldn't scientific advances get rid of the want for a subservient classification? Or is this a desire to become a royalty vs peasant society? Are we recreating the feudal era? Slavery? i think of Dr. Curry grew to become into sensationalizing his concept for the exposure-a number of the flaws he's featuring are unlawful.

I believe that it already has, only because we rely on it too much. If we were to lose our electricity then everyone would be in a state of panic. Computers are our biggest weakness. We need them in our every day life. Imagine what would happen if we were to lose all the computers in any scenario....
