I'm a little confused. How can there be an end in space if we haven't discovered it yet. What is really out there? These questions run through my mind all day. How will we ever know what's out there if we can't reach it? Are they people out there like me who are completely lost when it comes to this mysterious world? or am I out here alone?

You are right to be confused... we have not seen the end yet, so we don't know what is there. Some people have theories, but nothing is confirmed.

We can't imagine the real shape of space.

But we can imagine little 2D creatures(shadow creatures) that live on the (*expanding) surface of of a very large balloon-like sphere. These creatures only know left or right, and forward or backward. They think that their 'space', surface goes on without end.
They are right. There is no end. But if they go far enough, they get back to where they started. They can't imagine that their space is curved into the 3rd dimension.

Our universe is a curved 3D space. Einstein said that our universe is "curved" in a 4D (four dimensional) direction in the same way.

Our space is the 3D "surface" of a 4D space.

Easy huh?

I think a book was written about this call "Shadow World" over a hundred years ago.

I believe that life does exist elsewhere out there. As for the end of space, well that is something which we may never know.

it is said that to reach the end it would take millions of light years.
but what gets on my nerves is that it also said that the universe is like the world. if you go in the same direction long enough you'll come back to where you started. you decide.

It is base on the big bang theory, the universe was start with one big bang.
And the universe still expanding; therefore, there is no end.

When I find the end I'll let you know. Meanwhile, your avatar looks mean, and that is a more pressing issue.

actually consider your self lucky. that you have time to ponder such things. most of us have too much going on in our lives to think about as it is .
