Rent a billboard stating the obvious, ? will you marry me? Take her for a drive, when in front of it pretend you need to look for something (the ring?) and pull over to the side, at the same moment have your local radio station ask her to marry you, while her girlfriends/your guy friends are all driving by with huge signs on their cars-saying Will you marry him already? beeping horns, cans and ballons tied to their bumpers... just a thought!

My Friends worked real well for me.I had told everyone that it was time everyone except my wife.I had invited a few Friends over.Then I ask her to get ready to go out.While she was getting ready the preacher came in.When she came down staires she didn't see him.Everyone that lived in our Apt. complex were near by I got down on my knees.I had her ring hid in such a way that every day she would look at it and didn't know.this was 3 months in the planing.It happen on Christmas eve.The ring was on the tree.We had been split up for almost 2 years.Our children 5 of them were there for the first time in 7 years they were all there because they knew this was happening.We have been happiest couple in the world for 23 years after renewing our vowels week after our 25th.anniversey.This is a very long answer I know but if you can pull off something like this you will never forget nor will she.That was also the last time I had a drink.Good luck my Friend and I hope you have more than the total of 48 years my wonder full wife and I have had God bless both of you Jerry

If you have a favorite spot in nature to go and hang, get a friend to deliver flowers and the ring to that location and keep a hidden watch on it so noone swips the goods before you arrive.
Then when you reach your fav spot the flowers and ring will just be there. Let her pick up the flowers and find the ring.
At that point your friend can disappear from the watching shadows.
I know someone that did this and it worked perfectly! Good Luck!

I get the feeling you (like me) might be into tarot, astrology, etc. If I'm wrong, I'm sorry, but if I'm not then why not talk to a tarot card reader or palm reader or aura reader or psychic of any sort and tell them that you are looking for an interesting way of popping the question. Perhaps dinner then a tarot reading in which the reader informs her that she sees a major change in your relationship and while she is contemplating this, pull out the ring and propose to her. It is definately untraditional and would make for interesting stories to the grandkids!

If I had to do it all over again, (I know this is corny) I would take her to a karaoke bar and sing her a love song (Marc Anthony has one, but I cannot remember the name of the song right now arrgh!) I would change the lyrics to something that includes "would you marry me?" and I would walk towards her and go down on one knee as I sang that line to her. Once down, Hold out the ring.
Another idea maybe would be to buy her a star from www.starregistry.com and name it "Would you marry me?",
then she could buy you a star and name it "Yes".

Got this great idea.
It's summer time and therefor is time to plant seeds
You can hide the ring on a bag of flower seeds tell her that you want to plant some flowers (in the park, or in a flower pot) then when she opens the bag of flower seeds she will find the ring and you will be on your knees with a very special speech (prepare a meaningful one!)

make her a dinner of her favorite foods and buy her favorite wine then heve it all at a candle lit table with a single rose in a vase in the center call her and have her come over and have rose pettals starting at the door and leading all the way to the table and when you serve desert put the ring on top of it and when sh sees it ask her to marry you!

Think of something special she likes and incorporate it into asking her. She likes going out to eat? Ask the waiter to bring her food with the ring on a separate plate that is covered. Ask her while your opening it. something like that.

Take her to an intimate place to eat.....where it is quiet....take a leather string....leather symbolizing strength....take one end of tha string and tie it around her engagement finger (top of the finger) with the engagement ring hid in your hand ....release the ring down the leather string as you propose....with the strength of your love for her, the ring symoblizing it for eternity......(the ring should slide onto her finger....) I wish you both a wonderful future..

Well my husband asked me in bed...while were were laying there...having pillow talk he just popped it...it made it easier for him I think... But at the same time is was different but nice...
