You can try the little pill. Really there is a pill that tans you. Yup yup. I used it for a while, but it's hard to find.

Yes it works...but I had a base tan before I started using the lotion so it probably looked a little better....the same substance in all the lotions is used to tan...just pay for the lotion that you like...oh--and by the way they now have a tanning lotion remover on the market if you don't like the results...but sorry can't remember the name of it.

Try the Jergens "Natural Glow" daily moisturizer... It will give you a nice base (no orange or fake looking) that you can start with... Also, if you're going to be in the sun, try using any tanning lotion with tyrosine in it... it seems to be the only thing I've found that gives me a "tan" line, not a burn... but don't stay out too long! A burn is NOT a tan! :)

I used to go to tanning salons, but it has a high risk of cancer, and it's terrible for your skin texture. I started using the Mary Kay Sunless Tanning Lotion. Most tanning lotions turn your skin orange and get streaky. The MK Sunless Tanning Lotion doesn't. Most people who try it like it better than any other brand.

My MK beauty consultant gave me these directions when I first got it and it really works: First exfoliate your body and face. Then mix equal parts of moisturizer with the tanning lotion; use this on your body. For your face, use double parts moisturizer with the tanning lotion. So for your body do 1 squeeze of moisturizer, 1 squeeze lotion. For your face do 2 squeezes moisturizer, 1 squeeze lotion.

Then just spread all over and wash your hands immediately! You don't want your palms to get stained. Leave on for about 2 hours before you shower or anything. You can read the back of the box for more instructions. I hope this helps!

Oh and you can get it at www.marykay.com/adina_k
She's really nice and you can email her with other beauty questions - she gives me great advice.

Stay out of the sun without sunblock and tanning beds altogether unless you want to age prematurely. Tanning lotions do work but you have to buy the good, more expensive ones. Also, spray on tanning salons are awesome!

the tanning lotion makes you turn orange looking to me so the best way besides laying out in the sun would be a tanning bed. its cheap and fast....

Clarins makes a great self tanner, it's not cheap, but it works really well. I have not tried the other drug store brands. I think the "air brush" tanning looks too fake a lot of the time.

Self-tanner or one of those moisturizers that give you color. Natural Glow is one of them. I like that a lot. (I'm very pale and I burn instead of tan.) However, DO NOT use it the same day you shave or wax. 1. it'll BURN like crazy. 2. You get streaky.

Good luck!
