Not totally but it's a big part of it. The French team seemed to have lost their motivation when Henry was substituted. I don't know what possessed Raymond Dominque to make such a decision. I also don't understand why Lippi substituted Totti, Italy's best penalty kicker either.
Zidane's red card was a definitely blow because most French players believe they are invincible with Zidane leading. Zidane's departure made them feel for the first time that they are vulnerable and they can be beaten.
Zidane's head butt was truly an act of idiocy. Being a professional player for 18 years he should know how not to react to intentional insults meant to provoke. The best way to deal with this is smirk and walk away. Metarazzi probably would be more frustrated by not getting a reaction to Zidane.

No.

It would not have made a difference. Trezeguet would have still taken a penalty it would have been some else that Zidane replaced and thus Italy wins anyway since they missed none. So those that think Zidane would have made a difference in the shootout are wrong.

Would it have mattered in the last few minutes of overtime? Maybe but they hadn't scored in the 100 or so minutes leading up to that(having scored early in the game on a penalty) what makes you think that was going to change. Heck Italy only gave up 2 goals the whole tournament an own goal and a penalty.

yes i think Zidane being kicked out of the game helped Italy win the FIFA World CUP, if that did not happen the result would be else something

I wouldn't put it as it "Helped the Italians to win", I would characterize it as it hurting the french team's chances and making the odds even for both teams. At that stage in the game the Italians were hurting phisically and the French were on the attack, the French had a better opportunity of scoring during the last stages of the game and when Zidane was ejected that opportunity left the field along with Zidane. It was sad to see Zidane letting everyone including himself down for stooping to the level of Materazzi in a flash of rage.

I don't think he's solely responsible for France's loss, but I think he played a great role in it. I mean, if he had been in the game, he would have probably taken a penalty kick in place of Trezeguet (?), and he probably would have made it. That would have possibly made it a 5-5 tie, and then it would have been on the goalkeepers. Although, Italy worked hard and deserved the trophy. Maybe next time (although we all know Argentina's gonna win in 2010).

Yes. But the game belonged to anyone at that point. What the heck did the Italian dude say to Zidane to cause such a crazy display of anger.
That was shocking.

Probably, because the loss of the captain is a huge blow to the moral state of the team. Trezeguet tried to immitate Zidane's execution against Buffon, but probably the low moral state of the players made him miss. I saw before the penalty kick that he seemed just about ready to burst into tears.
Probably because of Zizou's elimination.

Of course! Zidane was/is France's best scorer and France needed more scoring in the PKs. So he blew it for France. It didn't help that France's 2nd best player Henry was subbed out minutes before the head butt
