Does that mean you have an undergravel filter?

Yes, you can put decorations ontop of the gravel with no problems.

It's fine to keep decorative rocks on top of the gravel. But I think it depends on where your filter is located.

With a three hundred gallon tank, it likely isn't possibility-free to in ordinary words glue it. you want to bypass the the petstore or ironmongery keep and get NON-poisonous silicone sealant that announces that is possibility-free for aquarium use. you also want to get a piece of glass sufficiently large to cover the crack, plus some additonal section round it. you'll want to empty the water contained in the aquarium to a number of inches lower than the spoil, or drain it thoroughly and do away with the fish. sparkling and dry the area around the crack, then practice a skinny layer of silicone sealant to the crack and surrounding section, and then placed the piece of glass over it. you want to take care of the piece of glass to the crack with duct tape till the silicone sealant instruments. allow it sit an afternoon, and then you will be able to fill up the aquarium.

They'll be fine. But rinse them before putting them in the tank. For that matter, you should rinse off everything that you put inside your tank.

That you can, but as others have mentioned, make sure you rinse them off well. Also, make sure whatever you put in your tank is designated as aquarium safe.

Good luck!
