In the broadest sense, genetic engineering is just human manipulation of genes. This has occurred since the very beginning of agriculture when humans would artificially breed plants and animals that displayed desirable traits. Today, we are just more efficient at doing so because we can manipulate specific, individual genes at the molecular level.

Of course. I've genetically engineered many things in my years as a genetic engineer. I've engineered corn, dogs, corndogs, christmas trees, grass, lightbulbs, and of course humans.

Happens all the time with crops. How do you think we can grow so much veggies in a given year? They've genetically modified veggies to spit out super yeilds.

well i am not very well inform of it....but i know there are some things that have been already ...e.g. dogs--- some genes have been alter to keep them from losing hair..so your house won't be a hairy house..and i am sure that in the near future lots of things are going to be genetically engineered to make our lives more pleasant............
