*spoilers, read at your own risk... you were warned so don't come complaining when you read below, got it?!*
now, although i didn't like that this movie is complete (it's more like "pirates 2 part A") the action sequences were REALLY NICE. especially the fight on the waterwheel and how it kept making references to the first movie. what was your least/most favorite part of the movie?
(and while yes, i have not gone into any specifics, i'm sure you can. anyone who has read this knows what they're facing so no complaining, okay?! you had been warned what you were going to read... twice!)

very true, and i did catch the part about the locket/music box. i also loved the, "here the payment. look *cocks pistol and shoots monkey* a monkey that won't die!"

Yes the cliff hanger of an ending shocked me the first time. I got over it the second time I watched it. I did catch some things. Did you notice that the heart music box that Davey Jones had sitting on the organ looked like the one that the voo-doo witch had on her table. Is she the one Davey longs for? HMM. I loved the parts between Jack and Elizabeth. The way that they play off each other. But alas, two head strong people do not last long. She will always be better with Will. I loved the look on Will's face when they spot Jack and then around the corner comes the cannibals. Priceless.

I did NOT like any of the whole Davy Jones/Flying Dutchman stuff. I thought the characters were really gross & overdone. I DID love the comedic element to Jack trying to escape from the natives! I enjoyed seeing Elizabeth really lay one on Jack & was very surprised that she cuffed him to the ship! Smooth move! (Pirate!) It was great that Norrington popped up & I thought the end was just awesome!!!!! I loved the voodoo goddess - she was just so well played & cool but my kids couldn't understand a word she said. And my favorite character in the whole movie was back!!! I love the dude with the freaky fake eyeball - he's just so hilarious & makes me laugh the way he cuts up & the stupid remarks he makes. All in all, it was okay, but you're right - it's "pirates 2, Part A". Oh well - next summer we'll find out just how far away the "ends of the earth" really are!!!!!! Great question - thx!!!

It was only average. I went to see the midnight screening ...
The ending was CRAP.
That Davy Jones was a comedic relief. Everytime he talked he made me laugh. It wasn't scary. OOOh Tenticles...
The scene with the waterwheel... that was so fake.
Everything was so animated. But still a rather exciting movie.
It was MUCH less amazing than the first pirates
The scene at the end of the credits was so predictable.
The plot did not have twists like the first movie. The first movie kept me guessing. Everything was so straight forward.
Pirates 1 will always be my fav movie of all time.

Loved it! My sister's and I went to the midnight screening. I do agree that it seemed a bit like Pirate's 2, part A. I too like the fact that Norrington showed up. (He's kinda cute under all that scruffiness) Anyway, we thought the action was good and the plot ok, Davey Jones wasn't as likeable as Barbosa..... but all in all, a great show. Can't wait for the third!
For the poster who said the waterwheel fight scene was "unbelievable", um hello....Pirate! (It's called a "movie", and is usually a work of fiction....)

I really liked this movie. It was a GREAT set-up for the 3rd movie. (due out Memorial Day 2007)
One of my favorite parts was when Norrington, Jack, and Will were sword fighting on the beach and Elizabeth was "throwing" rocks at them, and then the 2 other pirates stole the chest. That was pretty funny.

i like the whole sword fight sequence on the small island towards the end. I was expecting to see a lot more of that sort of thing in the movie.

I would have to say I liked the whole movie....thought it was awesome and can not wait for part 3.....ooh and Davy Jones was awesome, kinda of freaky when he was playing the piano....And I loved that they brought back Captian Barbossa
