This is a very complex question, and sounds like someone's homework. I'll point you in the right direction, but I won't answer it completely. Cell cycle regulators are usually the best place to look: (p53; APC; beta-catenin). These factors are common in colon tumors. There are also proliferative factors to consider (Ras and Rac) and those that control apoptosis (Bid; Bad; Bcl). I'm sure that should get you somewhere on this question.

Cervical Cancer. Starts off as an infection from the sexually transmitted infection Human Papilloma Virus (HPV; strain 16 or 18 usually). This virus invades basal squamous tissue of the cervix where it interfers with naturally occuring tumor suppressor proteins pRb and p53. Because these proteins are not working, mutations in the DNA of the cell are possible to occur and be replicated. If not in check, these mutations could result in uncontrolled cell growth, evade apoptosis signals, and begin to invade other tissues through breaking through the epithelial basement membrane. So, HPV doesn't cause cervical cancer, it facilitates it. Also, not every woman who gets HPV will develop cervical cancer, but nearly every woman with cervical cancer has HPV.

Well you see....all the think starts with the dividing of the cell called "mitosis".If the cell dividing is attacked by radiations or other external factors the cell transforms into cancerous cell....the change is usual produced by the numbers of chromosomes
