I turn to the lord for my peace and rest. He cares about me soooo much and whenever i'm down i just talk to him or read my Bible. Girl i know what it's like to be sad and down; i have spent so many nights crying and feeling down...but i have found that the only way to truely have peace and overcome my saddness is to turn to Christ and talk to him and ask him to help me. You see i have this relationship with Christ and i'm so close to the Lord that i can just talk to him like i would talk to my best friend. Sometimes i'll spend hours just talking to him about everything...or just crying out to him. The cool thing is that he doesn't yell at me or tell me off or say girl your so stupid or you have so messed up girl...he just listens to me, he forgives me and he loves me and i am surronded by him.
You can know this God too. He wants you to come to know him and to have a personal relationship with him. He simply asks that you admit your sins to him, believe in him, and that he died for you on the cross and last but not least choose to have him in your heart. Ask him to be your savior today. May God bless you and may you come to know him as your personal savior.

You come down to the tip of West Texas and see how fast you'll become sad. Its a desert with a lost identity. You're from Canada, visit the Mountain with someone special. Stop listening to TOOL first. Break out some Rat Dog, String Cheese, or Dave Mathews. You may not like it at first, but go to one of their concerts and see how you can expand your mind. It only takes one effort to start a new perspective. Beleive me it works. Just stop doing the repetitive old routine.

Go placidly amid the noise and haste,
and remember what peace there may be in silence.
As far as possible without surrender
be on good terms with all persons.
Speak your truth quietly and clearly;
and listen to others,
even the dull and the ignorant;
they too have their story.
Avoid loud and aggressive persons,
they are vexations to the spirit.
If you compare yourself with others,
you may become vain and bitter;
for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.
Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.
Keep interested in your own career, however humble;
it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.
Exercise caution in your business affairs;
for the world is full of trickery.
But let this not blind you to what virtue there is;
many persons strive for high ideals;
and everywhere life is full of heroism.
Be yourself.
Especially, do not feign affection.
Neither be cynical about love;
for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment
it is as perennial as the grass.
Take kindly the counsel of the years,
gracefully surrendering the things of youth.
Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune.
But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings.
Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.
Beyond a wholesome discipline,
be gentle with yourself.
You are a child of the universe,
no less than the trees and the stars;
you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you,
no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.
Therefore be at peace with God,
whatever you conceive Him to be,
and whatever your labors and aspirations,
in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul.
With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams,
it is still a beautiful world.
Be cheerful.
Strive to be happy.

Why are you sad? That is very important to know why. Well, keep yourself busy, but don't avoid the problem. If you start thinking about it, do that without feeling ashamed. You have to deal with it and learn something from your problems. Life takes the shape of a triangle. We have those peaks when nothing can be better, then the downward slope where the bad things occur in our lives. We always hit rock bottom but there is nowhere to go but up from there. we grow and things always get better.

I use to let every little thing that went wrong in my life get to me, I use to worrie all of the time and stuff like that. But then someone told me, "Why do you let everything get to you and make you begin to worrie?" Because once I start to worrie about something, I get really upset and sometimes I get in the level of depression. But I have learned this life is too short to get upset and worrie about things, so don't take it for granted and have fun on an approperate level LOL. Surround yourself with people that will listen to your problems and who will be there for you, people that will help you to get happy again and make all of the pain go away.

I'm blessed with many parks and hiking trails around where I live.So,I usually go out for a hike.For me,being close to nature(God?) reminds me there are reasons for everything in life.I usually come back home feeling much better.
I also read,listen to music and meditate.

well u can... well my idea involves being a particularly cruel person by not caring about what ever it is that is making you sad, but thats probably the best thing to do. ignore it until you can calm down. now idk what it is that is making u sad but if its something like death, deal with it for a while then ignore it until u are calmer. then deal with it more
