us as we speak?? i dont care who else did not sign the kyoto treaty , why has the bush administration continued to to argue against science is it because of the religious right or is it because they would be hurting their biggest supporters in the big oil and other dinosaur gas companies??

What is your source for stating that 99.9 percent of climatologists say that global warming is happening? Furthermore, when are scientists ever wrong now? If you pay attention you see that they are always wrong in the past, and never wrong now. Keep in mind that we have only been able to monitor global climate for less than 50 years. We have no point of reference other than perhaps it is warmer than it was 50 years ago. If you will study history you will see that we only recently came out of a "global cooling" phase in the 1970s.

I don't know your source for the "99.9% of climatologists" (hyperbole maybe, I love it also) but there is a growing consensus among many different types of scientists that global warming is real. Data has just been released that points to last year being the warmest in probably 1000+ years. Of course geologically that is a short period of time but since the Bush administration doesn't believe in science (unless it comes to making weapons), who cares?
It is the religious right & the politicians who suck up to them, the Know Nothing Party & Flat Earth Party members who keep arguing against any science which may attack their sense of the world & their religious beliefs. They have permenant blinders on.
It is amazing these people attack science right & left yet their lifes have been changed dramitically over the last 50 years by science. You don't see any of these idiots give up electricty or their big *** cars do you? Both products of science........

ALL real scientists (not those funded by oil companies) agree 100% that 1) There is a problem and 2) Humans are a major factor by various means.
However, our corporate funded media believes there is a "debate" about this, and most people take a look at Al Gore and assume that its some liberal conspiracy to take resources away from the war on terror. Me, I'm just gonna invest in some high ground and buy stock in a rubber raft company.

Earth goes through climate changes. And "Climatologists" can't predict the future. There was supposed to be another Ice Age in the 70's.

The percentage number is a lie created in the mind of an enviro-crusader. We're 500 years overdue for an ice age. Where's that in your calculations?

Because Bush doesn't care about the people, he cares about himself and those keeping him in a good position. The government hired scientists to say that it isn't happening.

Bush is a monkey who is only concerned with gratifying himself and his friends, what I can't understand is why so many Americans fall for his politics of fear and hate, this unfortunately exemplifies the "dumbing down" of our once great country. Liberals/left-wing are the only hope.
