Begin receiving medical attention RIGHT away -- monthly visits with the doctor are essential during pregnancy, for the health of the mother and child. And ESPECIALLY if the mother is only 14, she needs a regular doctor. Such young mothers can have serious complications, including improper healing after labor, and even death. Hopefully she has supportive, understanding parents who won't make her feel bad for what happened; they will take her to her visits and provide a positive experience. After all, there's no good in making someone feel bad for something that is done and over with if they've learned from it (so hopefully she learned from it). And further, creating a positive and loving environment will help this little unborn baby develop in the womb of a happy mother, and be born into a positive, loving environment. Don't we want people to be happy?

Personally, I wouldn't give the child up for adoption. I was pregnant at the age of 16, but sadly my baby died inside of me at 4 1/2 months due to my stress and weight loss (I was very depressed and couldn't eat much food during my pregnancy). I am 28 years old today, with no kids, and I often dream about what my baby would be like if she hadn't died. I would be a 28-year-old mother with a 12-year old girl. She'd almost be a teenager--old enough to stay at friend's houses while I went on vacations. If I have a kid now, I can pretty much forget vacations for the next 12 years..... At 28, there's so much I wish I could do--and I can because I dont' have a newborn kid. And if I had my 12-year old, I could still do those things. I really wish I still had her....

I am not saying that young people should try to have kids at a young age---NO, NO, NO!!! I'm just saying, if you're already pregnant, and what's done is done (it's too late at that point), just... consider the benefits of having the kid young. When you're older, you'll be free to do lots of the things that many older people can't do. Responsibilities hit us at ANY age -- whether we have kids at 14 or 28. We will always have responsibilities.

I don't recommend abortion either because it can permanently damage your uterus, causing you to lose the ability to have kids in the future. It can also cause death in very rare occasions, even in the US.

You are 14 years old. If you are pregnant and it is your first time being pregnant you need to do two things. TELL YOUR PARENTS.... and get some medical attention.

Now I know it will be the hardest thing for you to do in the world. I know you think your parents will kill you... but they mostly not. They will throw fit... get angry,, act hurt.... cry, maybe throw things... but they will not kill you. Maybe your father will want to kill your boyfriend... but he will not do that either.

It will be the best thing you can do. Once they calm down from the shock... they will start to think in a positive mode.

The next thing is easier. Get medical advice and help about your baby and it's health and yours.

You have a big responsibility now.. your life will change drastically. The other thing that you need to know is how will the farther react? Who is the father as you didn't say anything about him. He has responsibilities to toward you and his baby.

You are one of the million girls that face this question everyday. God bless you and Good Luck.

um, i'd think about how ur gonna finish school, work, and take care of the baby, u also need to make sure the father is gonna stay around and help, u need to also tell ur parents. Think long and hard about keeping ur legs closed! at 14 the most u should be doing is making out. Good Luck! I hope u will be a good mother, remember this child is going to rely on u, u have to be the role model in it's life.

well if a 14 yr old girl was to be having a baby i would say eather, 1. get an abortion if you just found out, 2. if you have a good support system keep the baby raise it and finish highschool.3. give it up for adoption.

She should not have a baby. Other than all the complications you will have to go through, it will make you look less attractive by guys. And since she's 14, she will probably have a lot of stretch marks.

Tell your parents. First of all a 14 year old should not be having babies or sex for that matter. Sex is for adults not children.

Well it seems everyone here isn't being to nice about this subject.
First of all, the girl should tell her parents about the situation, and see the doctor immediately. She should also not have sex again until she is over 18 and has more knowledge on the subject. I hope it isn't you :/

You are too young to be having sex! You need to tell your parents and then give it up! No teen should have the right to keep a baby.
