do u think that there could be another way to settle a game besides penalty kicks? i know the players can't play till there is a result, neither is a coin toss a feasible option. So what if any method do u think can work besides penalty kicks. Notice I said IF ANY ok if you think penalty kicks are the only thing then just say that. Because i can't think of anything else.

Pentaties are the only real answer though I can think of 2 modifications:

1. For the overtime give each team 1 more sub. This puts in fresh legs that might result in a score.

2. Instead of using the pentatly spot have the kick taken from the 18 or the top of the circle(22) this makes the kick more difficult and should result in less guesing by the goal keeper.

players can only play for so long. I was in a water polo game that went into 4 sudden death over times once, and we just ended up having to do penalty shots because people were too tired. I have played soccer too, it's just my best example is with water polo. Both are exhausting sports and at some point, something else has to be done to end it.

I don't like it either, I'm just saying that I think it is better then continuing to play after a certain point.

Yes good idea put the subs on
Then when they do get the medals for playing
as they all do even if they don`t play
They will have played in the game and earned the medal they got,
You could play 2 ends or a golden goal rule
1st team to score wins

Well if the original 11 starters get tired of playing overtime, then why don't they let the subs finish the game until a goal is scored?

Yesterday the italians, althouh they were one man up, weren't even able to walk the last 8 minutes of the match.

I think that there should be the regular 30 minutes of overtime, and after that if still is a draw, they should go to some more overtime where first goal wins, but they would be exhausted by the time they get there and might faint or something
