Obviously money is not the root of all evil. If everyone was equally without crime would go on unabated. It is more likely that the lack of money or the perceived lack of money is a cause for doing evil. In reality money is nothing more than social contract to honor agreements with people you have never met. Before money life was pretty much a drab affair anyway. I mean if you want to wear a grass skirt and poke at the ground with a stick all day, by all means go ahead.

Yes. Nonetheless, since society is founded on it at this point, removing money would also probably be the downfall of mankind... So, I guess we're stuck with that source of evil for now.

Money is not evil, the concept of capitalism is though. Money itself has no value without giving it value, capitalism is the value we give it. Without capitalism we would not want or need more money.
