I am 34 weeks pregnant and still have sex with my fiance (suprisingly enough I still am able to), anyway he still ejaculates inside of me. At what point should we stop doing this, I do not want my baby to get any infections or anything, and honestly I don't know if that is even a problem, but if anyone knows the details could you please pass them along.

You are fine. As long as your mucus plug has not come out yet, then the baby is protected from anything that gets in your vagina - i.e. semen. The mucus plug is a barrier between the vagina and the inside of the cervix (where the baby is - in the uterus). At 34 weeks, you are still okay.

My hubby and I had sex 2 days before I gave birth (I was 35 weeks along) and before my mucus plug came out. Semen and orgasm can actually initiate labor. So it wasn't a big surprise when I went into labor not too long after the sex.

I assure you your baby won't get any infections - the mucus plug is a very effective barrier. Like what I said just make sure it is still there - once your plug is gone or once your water breaks, sex is totally off-limits. Until that time, enjoy sex now while you can.

Goodluck with your pregnancy!

You can have sex and he can ejaculate inside your vagina for as long as you feel comfortable doing it. Be aware though that there is a hormone in the semen that can initiate contractions, so toward the end it may not be a good idea...but then by that point you may not want to!

A small caveat to this whole situation is that if the doctor says no sex, then NO sex. In the end you have to think of the health and safety of the baby; sex is not that important! Infections are exceptionally unlikely, since the baby is safely wrapped in the amniotic sac, and it acts as a barrier to infections, etc. Very little can harm the fetus at this point.

You can have sex right up til you go to the hospital (well in the hospital if you're really adventurous LOL). Don't worry about him cumming in you, it cannot harm the baby in any way. It's said though that if a woman who is 36 weeks or farther along has an orgasm that it can trigger contractions. I don't know if that's true or not, but it makes sense because it will start the tightening of the uterus.

It won't hurt anything, but if it becomes uncomfortable for you then you should stop. There IS a chemical in semen that helps soften the cervix, but according to studies nothing other than being induced by your doctor or midwife will actually bring on labor. Those are just Old Wive's Tales. The baby will come when it is ready.

You should stop immediately if your water breaks. Other than that there are no worries. Your baby is protected by the amniotic sac. My man and I had sex up until the day before our son was born and he's just fine. So, unless your doctor has told you it's not safe to have sex then go ahead and enjoy.

There's little to no danger of infection - the mucus plug is in place to seal off the uterus! And semen can actually be helpful in ripening the cervix (helping to thin it out) before delivery... Also the baby is in a sac of amniotic fluid - another barrier - so you guys are fine!!!

sex is okay right up until labor starts as long as your doctor has not advised against it. it will not harm the baby. There is no reason to stop having sex during a normal healthy pregnancy.

Its not a problem at all for the baby...its sealed up tight in there. If you have no complications...you can continue having sex as long as its comfortable for you, or until your Dr tells you otherwise.

you can have sex right up until you deliver if you can. it's not going to hurt or infect the baby. it can actually bring on labor. just don't do it after your water breaks.
