My auger is stuck in the ground and it is down so low it is extremely stuck, its at the point where (I live in Illinois)..its stuck in a clay-like material. Very thick and HARD!

ANY SUGGESTIONS TO GET OUT?

If no reverse switch, then you will have to dig around the auger with a long shovel intil you free it up.

Put a hose in the hole to soften the ground (i.e. liquefaction) and manually un-screw it. Lock the blade or apply your turning to the blade itself to move it in reverse. Any upward force would also be helpful. If the clay-like material has hardened you may need to dig around the blade as far down as you can to reduce the ground's grip on the blade.

OMG!!! A stuck auger! Turn it counter-clockwise and unscrew it. Good Luck.

Can't you reverse it back out?
