"Decree of dissolution" is the legal term for divorce (see link below). So yes, the judge granted his divorce in August 2003.
According to the records you posted, the separation agreement was incorporated into the divorce papers. This means that they had legally worked everything out when they were separated, creating a separation agreement. Then, when the decree of dissolution was granted (aka, the divorce), the separation agreement was taken as-is, and put into the divorce decree.
That's good that he's up-to-date on his child support. :) I don't see why others would tell you to throw him away. I'd say you should keep him, because he has been honest with you, and apparently he's responsible too.

Don't let people that don't know tell you about legal terms. I will tell you desite of the erroneus information that has been posted here.
First, a separation agreement is a contract in between the separating spouses that gives each party their financial obligations and sets the rules on visitation and bill paying etc. while the divorce is being processed.
On the document you presented it SAYS THAT THE DIVORCE WAS FILED ON JULY 2003 AND THAT THE Sep. Agreement was included, meaning , that is just supporting evidence to the divorce hearing.
Sencond
When you get a divorce, you will normally include this document (the Sep. Agr) as it tells the judge how both parties had agreed on financial obligations and the divorce is drawn mostly upon this document.
Yes, accodingly to what you show, they are now divorced since August 2003, where it cleary stated that the judge granted the dissoultion of marrige (Aka Divorce) Divorce is normally granted after a 30 day waiting period betwween the filing and the decree, which your documents says so.
So let me say it again: They are now divorced since August 2003, they filed in July 03 and the 2004 entry was perhaps because he was late in child support payments and then caugh up with it, so the court has to note it on the case.
You are just confused by the terminology. The document says that the dissolution was granted, meaning the the judge has granted the divorce and that the separation agreement is included in decree for reference.

Sounds like his separation agreement was approved on 08/07/03 and the Order approving the marital dissolution was entered on 08/08/03. The 06/04 entry was just a periodic entry that Court's sometimes do just to check on child support arrearages. I'm a paralegal in SC, don't know what state you're in, but my opinion is that he was divorced as of 08/08/03.

He is legally separated, which legally gives him the okay to date, and move on with his life. He does still have to pay child support, throughout the divorce procedure, when the divorce is finalised, it will say something to the same as, dissoultion granted, but will probably be a pile of papers together stating everything he'll have to do, or has done.
He might think this legally divorces him as well...seeings as how legal documents are so hard to figure out....but he probably still has some more court to go through and more money to pay first before it's totally finalised. Hang in there, it just takes time, took my hubby about a year to get it all setttled and done with. A LONGGG Year at that, we had a BIG ol' celebration when it was finally OVER for GOOD :)

Separated and divorced men pay child support for those that seem to have no idea. But concerning your question, he was divorced on 8-7-03 and the terms of his separation agreement were incorporated into the divorce. So yes, he's divorced

Yes, looks like he's divorced. A separation agreement is another word for a property settlement agreement. When divorcees have assets and liabilities to divide up and child custody to arrange, then such an agreement is a necessary part of the divorce.
The key is "dissolution granted.".. that says he's divorced.

I'm not sure what state you are in, but a "degree of dissolution" infers that the marriage is dissolved...which should be the equivalent of a divorce. At a minimum it is a legal separation. My best advice here would be to call the county courthouse's recorder of deeds...they can tell you the exact meaning.

Its a seperation decree issued by a judge....that also means that a divorce is in the making...this is justifying that they are living in different homes and that a divorce may or may not have been requested....dig a little deeper...or if you still aren't feeling this they ask him to show you the papers verifying that he is divorced....just tell him the truth....if he's telling the truth in the first place he'll just show you if he was lying he won't know what to do.

Yes it means he is divorces a Seperation Agreement Incorportated means simply a voluntary contract entered into by you and your spouse which resolves all issues related to your separation such as child support, child custody, alimony, property, and other matters. It is a voluntary agreement, and you and your spouse must agree on all terms of the Separation Agreement.
