I used to smoke for about a year. I used to smoke a pack every week or sometimes two packs a week but on top of that i use to smoke the bad stuff like marijuana. that i did mostly every day like crazy but i quit all of that but now dayz i sometimes have trubble breathing. like @ night when i am trying to go to bet I have to use a fan or an air conditner. I use to have asthma when i was a little kid but grew out of it sometimes i wonder if it came back. But I can feel it in my upper back it feels all tight not really but i can barly feel my chest starting to hurt Thats all i have to say.

Oh yeah do you think if i started walking then got into runing that i could clear my lungs and I could breath right again?

It could be your asthma. Do you get shortness of breath in hot climates in general, as in not only when you're going to bed? Smoking can give you emfysema and eventually COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary(LUNG) disease. If you've only smoked for a year, I doubt that you've sestained that much damage, but I would ask your doctor to prescribe an inhaler for asthma with corticosteroids and maybe a beta blocker. Try them when you get this shortness of breath and see if they help.
Good Luck!

It takes a while for lungs to heal. Sometimes they don't heal all the way. All I can say is talk to your doctor about it and don't over do it on your lungs. Just try and find anyway to breathe normally.

Yes you have already started on the path.

Stop immediately. your lungs are not ment to take smoke. they are manufactured to accept clean air.

Lung cells are highly sensitive. Higher temperature with nicotine will surely ruine them and slowly they will loose their oxygen absorbing capacity.

Stop smoking immediately.
