It seems illegal because you can get all your music for free and its SO easy to use...and you can download games and software for free.
Anything free seems illegal, doesnt it?
Its legal. Its a file sharing program. When youre downloading something, you are actually getting it from someones computer....could be me or even you.
Enjoy it =)
Edit: Its the same law as copying copy-righted DVD movies. As long as you only use it for personal use, you will not break the law. If you use copyrighted songs or objects from downloading it online and then you use it for commercial use (selling it, making profit from it), then you are breaking the law.

Limewire itself is legal.
Using it to get free copies of copyrighted material is not.
Limewire, along with most P2P file sharing programs contain adware and other Malware. Which will eventually overwhelm your computer to the point where it won't work.
Use a bit-torrent program if you must, but remember it's still ILLEGAL to copy copyrighted material.
And always scan a download BEFORE opening it.

limewire and all the p2p software are perfectly legal. But most of the time people use it to transfer illegal software across computers, this is illegal.

Limewire from www.limewire.com is legal p2p (peer-2-peer) software. It comes in two different editions, normal and professional. With this software you can share software with the next guy, but it is NOT allowed to share licenced software, music and movies, although it is done.

The software itself is legal but using it to steal programs, movies, music, ect. is extremely illegal. I would watch out for viruses from there too. If you are going to use it then isolate it on a machine that you dont care about and scan EVERYTHING. Even then you will pickup something bad eventually.

No, yet you may do unlawful issues with it. Take your vehicle, case in factor. you could force the vehicle legally, yet you could also hit peds and bypass on a rampage. same vehicle, utilized in a unique way. same for limewire.
