I have a Mac & Linksys router. I can get online but not when I am associated with my linksys router - only when I go to the airport connection and choose another computer. I've tried resetting the router, plugging / unplogging the power and cable line, rebooting the computer etc. Not sure what the problem is...any ideas? And btw, I did not originally install the router 3 years ago, so not sure how to run any sort of diagnostic test. Any ideas would be helpful!

Get the model name, etc. of the router.
Go to the manufacturer's website to get the documentation on the default username/password.
Push the "reset" button to reset the router to it's defaults.
Hardwire into the router and access it through a web browser.
Configure it as you wish.

Connect your MAC to linksys through a wire.
Press RESET button for 10 seconds. and let it restart.
Type in your browser:
htp://192.168.1.1/
When login & password window pops up, leave the Login window blank, and in the password write admin
You will be taken to the main configuration screen of the router.

If no longer uninstall your modem out of your pc and reinstall (the cd that it comes with) it and start up the completed procedure back. i have finished it before after someone hacked in and that i have not had a difficulty considering. in case your cdcontinual on your own computer doesn't artwork, do it from a pc. it doesn't remember the position the cd receives put in see you later because it does.
