US held it in 94 so only 3 wc tourn have passed including germany. and 12 yrs is not a long time. and i believe they are rotating the venues so every continent gets a turn. but i wont be surprised if europe goes every other tourn. and if and country deserves a wc tourn next after s.africa it is brazil. so ur going to have to wait a long time atleast 20 yrs b4 they even get a chance to bid

sorry this is the world cup. underline world

The United States hosted the World Cup in 1994. Mexico hosted it in 1986. Next One is in South Africa and I believe England wants the one after that REAL BAD! So it's going to be a while before north america or even south america gets to host a world cup.

2010 - South Africa
2014 - Brazil if they can show they can host it
2018 - US or Mexico maybe but probably back to Europe
2022 - US if they have not had it before as there are the best Concacaf host.

Though the word is that South Africa may not have the money needed to get ready for the Worldcup. If it comes to 2008 and it does not look like they will be ready the US could host as they are probably the only country outside of Europe(which just hosted) that could handle on such a short notice.

Hey man, no disrespect to the USA, but you guys really need to stop using that 2-0 lead against Brazil as an accomplishment, seeing as you then conceded 3 to lose to game. But yeah, I'm an England fan and definitely not underestimating you guys. They seem like an organised team and determined to win. I like Howard, Donovan and Dempsey. Howard is better than any English keeper we have. And I was very impressed with Donovan in the EPL. It'll be a close game imo. Perhaps if the USA do win it'll be the best thing to happen to us - may shut some of our arrogant fans up.

FIFA choose the host nation by voting from FIFA's bosses
Mexico have host the world cup 2 time At 1970(the winner is Brazil), and at1986 (the winner is Argentina with Maradona)after the earth quake at mexico,

USA have be the host nation at 1994 (the winner brazil by penalty and beat italy and make baggio public enemy no.1)

The U. S. hosted in 1996. Mexico hosting? Who knows. They have the facilities, but can the players be protected against kidnapping? Mexico's own coach was kidnapped last year. He was luckily returned unscathed. Soccer fans!

i heard it somewhere, but there is a lottery, and every other time, europe gets it, or somehting like that.

so i think that it will be

2010 = south africa
2014 = somewhere in europe
2018 = either australia or US.
2022 = somewhere in europe
2026 = either australia or US.

i remember the director dude saying that he wanted it in australia soon and that someone had to get it first though, it might have been a south american country but US probably wont get it.
