Simply for being 'intoxicated in public'??

How is drinking in a privately owned establishment public intoxication.

No, that's just stupid. They were either looking to collect money through tickets or were looking to pander to some extremist anti-alcohol sect.

If you can't be drunk in a bar, then they should just go ahead and outlaw alcohol and bars. Or start arresting fat people in restaurants.

No that's ridiculous. And I don't think it's fair to arrest them as soon as they get out of the bar either, you know, like the cops wait for them to come out. I know some cops who get pretty drunk so who are they to judge?

NO that is crazy...I think if they start a fight or something..if they are being offensive to other customers they should be thrown out but not necessarily arrested.

No. Everyone would be arrested then. That's what happens in bars. People get drunk.

if they are acting obnoxious or if there is a chance they are going to drive a vehicle.
